'Fast and Furious 8' cast news update: 'The Rock' furiously slams male co-stars on Facebook
In a rare behind-the-scenes conflict, former wrestling champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently unleashed an emotional yet furious rant on social media against male co-stars he deemed as "candy a***s" and "unprofessional."
The "Scorpion King" actor is wrapping up a few scenes in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" where he plays the role of federal law enforcement agent Luke Hobbs. For some reasons unknown, Johnson seems to have gotten into some serious beef on the set, leading him to express his outrage on Facebook.
"This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one... My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a***s," his Facebook post reads.
This rare expression of anger on the social media got fans wondering who was or were responsible for causing Johnson's blood to "boil." However, TMZ learned that his comment was aimed at fellow actor and franchise producer Vin Diesel. The two reportedly had a secret meeting to sort things out and prevent their rift from further causing more damages.
The report also claimed that their conflict started when Diesel came up with decisions on the set that Johnson strongly objected to. The said meeting reportedly took place in Atlanta on Tuesday in a bid to defuse tensions that prevented the production team from shooting the scenes right. So far, there hasn't been any follow-up report to indicate whether the two have already patched things up.
Meanwhile, the whole cast doesn't appear sympathetic to the "The Rock's" emotional outburst, with just a few days before the production completely wraps up.
