'Fast and Furious 8' full cast revealed; Charlize Theron's villain role to surprise fans

The eighth installment of the "Fast and Furious" film franchise is happening and fans are more than thrilled already to catch it in cinemas. Even though it's still far from its premiere date, spoilers and sneak peeks have already surfaced.

An Instagram post by main actor Vin Diesel showed a first look at the full cast of "Fast and Furious 8." With the simple caption "#F8," the image featured 11 of the cast members which included Diesel, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood, Dwayne Johnson, Kristofer Hivju, Kurt Russell and the new baddie, Charlize Theron.

Most of the cast members from the previous entries are returning, while the newcomers are Hivju, who is known for playing Tormund Giantsbane in HBO's "Game of Thrones," as well as Russel and Theron. There are a lot in store for fans, especially with Theron taking over the villain role in the sequel. Composer Brian Tyler spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the addition of Theron's role in the movie and according to him, her character named Cipher is going to cause a lot of trouble for Dom Toretto's family and crew.

"There's no question the havoc and villainy she brings [but] you're attracted to it," stated Tyler. "There's something where you can kind of see yourself in this villain that makes it more disturbing and, at the same time, more interesting," he added.

He also mentioned that Cipher is going to be a sympathetic villain. Fans may catch themselves siding wither her when they're not supposed to. In other words, Theron's character will bring some surprise to everyone.

And for those who are asking if Theron will be doing some speed action, News Everyday detailed that the actress has not been driving much in the film. The "Fast 8" crew have been doing most of the job. But there's no question on whether Theron can do it or not as she previously did some action in her old movie "The Italian Job."

"Fast and Furious 8" is scheduled to hit theaters on April 14, 2017.
