'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Trailer Video: Anastasia Steele Meets Christian Grey's Parents
During the telecast of the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards, a new trailer for "Fifty Shades of Grey" was released and it saw Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) meeting the parents of Christian (Jamie Dornan).
With the film set for release on Valentine's weekend, Dornan asked fans not to murder him on the red carpet of the premiere.
Dornan made the request in an interview with Details Magazine as fans expressed dismay that he landed the part of Christian. He said now that he is a husband and father in real life he did not want to die just like John Lennon did.
As for the recently released trailer, it was timed perfectly to appear onscreen as Dornan and Johnson made an appearance at the award show. They walked the red carpet separately, with Dornan accompanying his wife. He sported his trademark beard while Johnson was dressed in Chanel. They jointly presented the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie category.
The extended trailer of "Fifty Shades of Grey" featured scenes with Anastasia meeting Christian's parents and family members over dinner. There was also a scene where she asked him why people said he had no heart. To which Christian replied, "Because they know me well."
The trailer also featured Beyonce's song "Crazy in Love." It was later reported that the film's soundtrack was already a bestseller. Time stated that the track "Love Me Like You Do" from Ellie Goulding and "Earned It" from The Weeknd have already been sold 80,000 and 100,000 times on iTunes, respectively. The soundtrack from the film also includes classic songs such as "Witchcraft" by Frank Sinatra and "Beast of Burden" by The Rolling Stones.
The film itself and its current "R" rating continued to attract controversy with the Morality in Media group stating that it "severely undermines the violent themes in the film and does not adequately inform parents and patrons of the film's content."
