"Final Fantasy 15" was structured by developer Square Enix in a way that gamers will get the best of both open-world gameplay and linear storytelling.

Speaking to Famitsu, "Final Fantasy 15" director Hajime Tabata explained that "the first half keeps going as an open-world, but the story in the second half is led by a linear path."

"That way, you won't get bored of an open-world as the rest of the game tightens, so we made it in a way that you'll also get to advance through it as you have in conventional Final Fantasy games," Tabata said via Gematsu.

He added that a player will take around 40 to 50 hours to plow through the first half and the main route of the second half of "Final Fantasy 15," which will make for tons of game time.

Meanwhile, he also said that not all downloadable content (DLC) will be included in the "Final Fantasy 15" Season Pass. The game director revealed that gamers will have to pay extra for those "although there's a lot right now that isn't clear."

With regards to the kind of DLCs to expect for "Final Fantasy 15," there will be costume-themed content as well as additional "cooking repertoire," which shows that foodstuff will be a big deal in the game.

Meanwhile, it appears that the excitement for "Final Fantasy 15" continues and the game's demo at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany definitely made a lot more gamers pumped up.

Fans found the demo for the game at the event excellent as shown in the feedback that it got from the participants. Ninety percent of them voted "positive" and were happy about what they experienced.

Eight percent of the partakers voted "neutral" and only two percent of the group were not satisfied on what they saw and voted "negative." This hints that "Final Fantasy 15" is already an early hit with fans.

Meanwhile, fans can check out half an hour's worth of gameplay in a new video shared by Square Enix embedded below.

"Final Fantasy 15" will be released Nov. 29 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
