A lot of fans were hyped by the revelation that Square Enix is planning to do a remake of one of its classic game titles. "Final Fantasy 7" is one of the most successful installments in the ever-growing "Final Fantasy" series, and even after several installments after it, people can still recall the magnificence of the game. Square Enix refuses to divulge any information regarding the much awaited "Final Fantasy" remake, although according to the latest reports, the game developer company will reveal big details this coming December.

It is not fully known whether the remake will bring back all the memorable characters and feature of the original "Final Fantasy 7" game. However, according to the rumors, the remake will be bigger than ever that there might be a need to make three episodes out of it. Smart Stock News reported that Square Enix is planning to divide the "Final Fantasy 7" remake into three parts, and it will have an episodic style of release. Moreover, the online publication speculated that the first episode of the remake will arrive as early as March 2017.

On the other hand, it must also be considered that Square Enix is also busy with other huge game projects, all of them expected to be released in the coming years. Specifically, Square Enix is currently developing "Kingdom Hearts 3," which can be seen as a reason for the delay in releasing the "Final Fantasy 7" remake.

Parent Herald reported that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake may even arrive after the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3," suggesting that the company may be more focused on releasing the latest "Kingdom Hearts" installment first. A 2017 release for both "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7" remake does not look possible at this point as Video Gamer reported that the two game titles are not included in the roster of Square Enix until the end of the current financial year in March 2017.

Perhaps the fans will know more about Square Enix's plans for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake in the coming weeks or months. Yibada reported that the company will be spilling some important details about the remake in December. For now, the gamers can check out the upcoming Square Enix games, "Final Fantasy XV" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Prologue Chapter."
