'Final Fantasy XV' Judgment Disc guide 2016: Here's how to download English version; Release may be canceled due to bugs and issues in demo
"Final Fantasy XV" has given its fans more reasons to wait in excitement for the title. Square Enix is making sure that fans will remain loyal to the franchise by releasing a demo that allows players to try out the game for a short while.
The demo is called "Final Fantasy XV: Judgement Disc," and it allows users to see what the game is all about and get a feel of it. The players are able to see the title's features as they can play it from the opening until the middle of the first episode, which totals to about an hour of play time.
To make it more enjoyable, a special bonus footage is shown after the players finish the demo. However, the main story of "Final Fantasy XV" is yet to be revealed.
"Final Fantasy XV: Judgement Disc" is meant to give the players a glimpse of the title as a whole. Therefore, its data are only meant for the demonstration and so it cannot be used once a user already bought the full copy of the game. Those who want to play the demo, but do not have any console to play with, the demo disc can be purchased in selected stores.
It was previously reported that game director Hajime Tabata announced that a demo will be out for the public, but it came out only in Japan. When asked about it, he said that demos for major game titles are a huge deal for Japanese players, Kotaku reports.
Fortunately, there is a "Judgement Disc" available in English version and can be downloaded to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (PS4). Thanks to Dual Shockers, the supposed Japanese-language-only title is now translated to English for everyone's sake.
The website translated several options including battle camera distance, camera control, brightness, sound, subtitles, speaker, vertical and horizontal directions, navigation map and controller. The Image Quality Settings for PS4 Pro has already been translated as well.
Meanwhile, a rumor emerged that Square Enix may cancel the release date of the title since there have been bugs and issues seen from the demo. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
