'Final Fantasy XV' news: More details on full trophy list and 8 GB 'Crown' patch revealed
The much-anticipated "Final Fantasy XV" is finally out, and new details about the game's first update have been revealed.
Known as the Crown Update, the game's day one patch weighs in at 8GB and comes with some pretty substantial updates. It is actually recommended to get the patch first before starting with the game. According to VG247, changes brought by the update include the addition of a gallery featuring acquired dishes and fishes.
During battle, Wait Mode-exclusive abilities are added to Ability Call to improve gameplay experience. These abilities are Libra Speed Increase (obtain information quickly), Wait Gauge Recovery (recover gauge after defeating an enemy), Surprise Attack Shift Break (helps to easily destroy target) and Final Blow Shift Break (increased damage multiplier).
In terms of battle screen effects, most of the tweaks were made to make it easier for players to see their HP status. The whole screen will be covered with a light red filter when the HP is less than 25 percent, and it will become dark red when the player is in a pinch. Upon downloading the patch, the Enemy Whistle will be available right away. A player can call monsters but it's important to take note that they won't always appear. During an MP Burst, any movement is canceled and trying to shift at that time will result in failed movements.
Ahead of today's release, full details on the game's trophy list has also been published over at Exophase. As Gamespot points out, all the usual trophies players expect for completing the game and individual chapters are still included. Additionally, there are trophies for casting spells, learning an ability, gaining levels in fishing, riding a chocobo and much more. Playing five rounds of the pinball minigame found in "Final Fantasy XV" called "Justice Monsters Five" will also end up with a trophy.
"Final Fantasy XV" is already available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
