According to the latest reports, Square Enix is planning to extend the scope of their upcoming game title, "Final Fantasy XV," outside of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles. To note, both Sony and Microsoft, the tech giants behind the PlayStation and Xbox devices, respectively, are set to release an upgraded version of their new generation consoles. These

These devices, called the PlayStation Neo and Xbox Scorpio, are expected to be released in the coming months. If the plan pushes through, "Final Fantasy XV" will be ported to these devices once they are finally out in the markets.

"Final Fantasy" game director Hajime Tabata revealed that the game sequel will have its own version for the upcoming PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio very soon, according to Yibada. Although, Square Enix's priority will still be on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of "Final Fantasy XV." Tabata admitted that he was reluctant to expand the game on the Xbox Scorpio at first, but then he expressed his interest in the console's capabilities.

As for the Nintendo NX, which is also expected to arrive sometime next year, the online publication reported that Square Enix is not planning to port "Final Fantasy XV" to the said console. This is the same as the case of the anticipated PC version of the sequel, as Square Enix is still considering the matter.

Meanwhile, more gameplay details for "Final Fantasy XV" were revealed during this year's PAX West event in Seattle, Washington. According to Siliconera, the gameplay reveal at PAX West shows Noctis and his group going on a ride to the Balouve Mines. This place is dangerous as it is filled with goblins, who can snatch potions from the players in a blink of an eye. In their ride going to the mines, it was noticeable that the driving system in the upcoming sequel has largely improved over its predecessor. The driving is more realistic as the players may find themselves driving on the wrong side of the road and crash their cars into a lot of things.

Lastly, the magic crafting system in the sequel was finally revealed, allowing players to mix and match elemental spells to create a more powerful one. The players' existing potions can also be used to amplify a spell's effects, like using a potion to add additional healing factor of one magic spell.
