'Final Fantasy XV' release date updates: New version of game to come out for PlayStation Neo and Xbox Scorpio?
The recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 has showcased two new consoles from two different companies: PlayStation Neo of Sony and another surprise upgraded console from Microsoft, which is given a codename Project Scorpio. Many fans could not wait for the two new gaming devices to arrive. They are certainly excited to know what these consoles bring to the table.
According to the director of "Final Fantasy XV," Hajime Tabata, he is impressed with what he has learned so far about the new two consoles. Every game of the "Final Fantasy" series has been known to push gaming consoles to their limits. During an interview with Kotaku, Tabata shared his thoughts about the PlayStation Neo and Project Scorpio. He also revealed the possibility of the new "Final Fantasy XV" to be available for PC players.
"No, we haven't started anything... I first learned about Scorpio at the [Microsoft] conference," Tabata said when asked if they are already making projects for the new console. "I was there waiting in the green room and I go "ooh wow, what's that?"
"It'd be really great though if we could have 'Final Fantasy XV' something we can play on the current-generation Xbox One and PS4, also give them that choice that when the new, stronger-generation hardware comes out, to have them play at that level as well. I'd really like to be able to give them that," Tabata added.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors and speculations circulating all over the Internet suggesting that the upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" will soon have a PC version. The game title, which is already scheduled to come out on Sept. 30, is not going to have a PC version released this year, according to Tabata. He said that although a PC version of the game is possible, the current focus of Square Enix as of the moment is bringing the title out for consoles.
