'Five Nights At Freddy's 3' Release Date, Reviews and News: Game Brings Killer Bunny 'Springtrap'
The videogame "Five Nights at Freddy's 3" was just released for devices running the Android OS. The popular game has a huge following among PC users who delight in the scares it delivers. The game's latest sequel arrived a few days ago on Google Play.
The predecessor to "Five Nights at Freddy's 3" was dropped just eight months ago. Many reviewers said it's quite an achievement for a game to have a sequel release so soon.
The game was designed by just one individual – Scott Cawthon. With only him doing the work, the sequel seemed rushed and simplistic, some reviewers said.
However, other reviewers pointed out that fans of the game will not be disappointed with the sequel, even though it has its limitations. Like its previous two versions, the game is again based in Freddy Fasbear's Pizza and the player has to step into the shoes of a security guard and escape from animatronic killer toys.
In the game's latest edition, however, only one animatronic toy is featured and his name is Springtrap. This particular killer toy is a golden bunny that hunts down the security guard while he watches the feeds from various video cameras and then tries to escape.
The first and second part of the game allowed the security guard to close doors to trap and turn on lights to find the killer animatronics. However, with the current edition the guard can only view the feed from cameras, and close ventilation ports to prevent the bunny from entering. There is an added benefit in that the guard can play the sound of a little girl trapped in a room and use it to lure the bunny. However, if the sound is not played in the room adjacent to the animatronic it could go after the guard instead of the girl.
Droid Gamers noted that the system needed for self-preservation is not explained in the game, saying this will definitely cause confusion even among gamers who are familiar with the series.
