'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' Release Date: Halloween 2015 Launch; Will Be Final Chapter
The third installment of "Five Night's at Freddy's" was released in March this year and already plans for a sequel have been announced. "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" is due for release on Oct. 31 just in time for the Halloween.
This was welcome news for many fans of the game, which was developed and created by Scott Cawthon. They soon headed over to his website to know more about the game.
Since the first game in the franchise was released last year and went on to become very popular, Cawthon has been pushing for an installment once every few months. This time, however, he has labeled "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" as the final chapter in the game.
Many were skeptical about the upcoming game being the final chapter, but zealous fans were soon saying that they had deciphered the clues hidden by Cawthon on his website. They pointed towards the metadata, saying the number 87 was repeated frequently for no reason whatsoever.
This, according to them, indicated that "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" would be a prequel to the first game and revolve around an incident named "Bite of 87." That happened when an animatronic attacked a person in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza which resulted in the loss of his front lobe.
The bite incident was referred to in the first game by the phone guy. This led the management to limit the animatronics' movement only at night.
The other aspects of the game are expected to remain the same. The player will be able to act the part of the security guard. He will be able to sit in a room and check security cameras for the killer animatronics and then close doors to stop them from attacking him.
Even if the upcoming game is the last chapter, "Five Nights at Freddy's" has been picked up by Warner Bros which plans to develop a film based on it.
