'For Honor' beta news, update: beta play starts next week; here's everything you need to know
The recent trailers of "For Honor" paved the way for the title to maintain a certain hype. Gamers will certainly be more excited about the arrival of the game especially since a beta session is about to be held soon.
Details of the "For Honor" beta play have been revealed by Ubisoft. Starting next week, several features are supposed to be offered, which has strengthened the expectations of the gamers. There will be more multiplayer modes that can be experienced, aside from new maps and additional classes.
During the beta play, players will get to control nine of the total 12 characters across the three factions. The three factions are the Vikings, the Samurai and the Knights. Players can access Warlord, Raider and Berserker for the Vikings factions while those for the Knights have Warden, Peacekeeper and Conqueror. Choices for the Samurai include Nobushi, Orochi and Kensei.
However, the studio did not specify the differences between one character to another, despite the fact that some of them belong to the same faction. Such may be revealed during the beta session.
As for the multiplayer mode, three of the five will be accessible to the players. These are the 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 modes.
According to Ubisoft, the beta play will offer six "environments" that can be accessed, which already include the three new maps. These maps are believed to be Valkenheim, Ashfeld and Myre.
"For Honor" beta play will start on Jan. 26 and will conclude on Jan. 29, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC platforms. Those who have not received an invite can still get one by visiting the official website of the game.
Another way to join the beta play is to access the SCARS website, which Ubisoft has launched. The site has substantial details of "For Honor's" gameplay and storyline. Completing the interactive activity can earn a player a code, which will grant access to the beta session.
