'For Honor' closed beta: more details about War of the Factions revealed; registration is now open

"For Honor" will be holding its closed beta session on January 2017, as announced by Ubisoft. Gamers who want to check out what the game has in store can now register at "For Honor's" official website.

There are three ways to enjoy the "For Honor" close beta. Those who successfully register in the session will get the opportunity to be enlisted in War of the Factions.

"Pledge your sword to the Knights of the Iron Legion, the Warborn Viking clans, or the Samurai of the Dawn Empire in-game. Then, prove yourself worthy on the greatest battleground the world has ever seen by fighting for your faction," reads the description of War of the Factions on the game's website.

The second way is that players will be able to choose which faction they will pledge their alliance to. They can choose Samurai, Knights or Vikings, and join the ongoing war against all the factions. The game developer will keep track of the progress for all the factions no matter what platform is used to play the game.

After choosing which faction to join, the players' victories will be recorded in the global world score of the faction. The player's record is kept even if they opt to play as different faction warriors or play individual battles.

Finally, as "For Honor" closed beta session wraps up, all players will be able to receive a badge of their respective faction. Those who belong to the winning faction, of course, will receive an extra bonus. However, Ubisoft did not reveal what particular bonus will be given to the winners.

Another interesting feature that "For Honor" offers is that players will get to choose from 12 various characters throughout the three factions. Ubisoft recently announced strong heroes that the players can choose, including the Knight Peacekeeper, the Viking Warlord and the Samurai Shugoki.

"For Honor" is scheduled to come out on February 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC.
