'For Honor' trailer, beta play update: registration for beta play now available; comes with impressive trailer
With "For Honor's" launch in just a few weeks, Ubisoft announced that a close beta session will happen beginning from Jan. 26. The announcement comes alongside a cinematic trailer titled "The Thin Red Path."
"For Honor" has been in development following its announcement at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event. After the announcement, Ubisoft has been putting all its efforts to develop the game while fans are speculating what the game will offer.
Now that the title is close to its launch date, Ubisoft made a hype by disclosing "For Honor's" online multiplayer gameplay, which includes a three-day closed beta session for all platforms. Those who want to make the cut should register as soon as they can on the game's official website. The brief beta gameplay is titled, "War of the Factions."
The event comes with a trailer to entice the enthusiasts even further. Titled as "The Thin Red Path," Ubisoft briefly explained what the gameplay is all about. The developer wrote:
"Honor. What do you know about honor? You, who has never faced true fear. Learn what honor is before pretending you are a warrior. Know this, before you step onto that thin red path, no misstep is allowed. The path that only ends when your legs fail to support you, and your heart stops beating."
Then, the post continued:
"The path where sadness goes along with pain and where glory is the color of blood. This narrow path only goes one way, a way covered with enemies and brothers. And it will take you with no shame into the hands of death for the name you were given and for your descendants. For honor."
The description did not give substantial information upfront, but the video trailer has demonstrated it all. It seems like the gameplay follows "The Thin Red Line" metaphor that soldiers use when facing war.
"For Honor" is due to come on Feb. 16 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PC and Xbox One. The close beta session ends on Jan. 29.
