'Forza Horizon 3' DLC release date: Winter DLC teased in new image
The highly-anticipated winter downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Forza Horizon 3" will be taking virtual racers to the snow-white parts of the land down under.
Microsoft kept much about the DLC under wraps saved for a wintry teaser image and a small description that reads: "As we all know, winter is coming and that means some less than ideal road conditions."
Whatever this "Forza Horizon 3" DLC will entail, it will be available in the $34.99 Expansion Pass of the racing game. Ultimate Edition owners can avail of a $10 discount on the Expansion Pass before the year ends.
In addition to the teaser, Microsoft has listened to its players and has unveiled new Alpinestars Car Pack, which makes available a total of seven new cars in "Forza Horizon 3."
Headlining this car drop are the 1998 Nissan Silvia K's and the 1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7, which appear to be the "two of the most requested cars in the Forza community."
Staying true to the setting of the game, "Forza Horizon 3" is also getting the Ford Falcon XR GT, Dodge Viper ACR and the classic 1979 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam. Players will also get to be behind the wheel of the cutting edge cars such as the 2017 Acura NSX and the 2016 BMW M4 GTS.
The Alpinestars Car Pack is priced at $6.99. It is also included in the "Forza Horizon 3" Car Pass, which is available for $29.99.
The Alpinestars Car Pack appears to be what community manager Brian Ekberg was referring to in the latest issue of the Week-In Review newsletter for "Forza Motorsport."
He said via iDigital Times that "adding something in November that we've never done before in the Forza Horizon series." It appears that fans will get vehicles that will race efficiently in the snow.
