Free 'Mafia 3' DLC news: car customization feature introduced
The new free downloadable content (DLC) for "Mafia 3" with car customization features has finally arrived.
The second expansion content will finally allow players to customize their cars just like what they have always wanted, according to 2K Games. Based on the statement from the game's official blog site, up to 10 cars from Lincoln's fleet can be customized according to the player's needs.
Six of those could be earned while playing the game, while the three cars will be earned through the Family Kick-Back preorder bonus content. But those who did not preorder the game can still get hold of the Family Kick-Back content by purchasing it for via the in-game digital store for $4.99.
The 10th car, meanwhile, can be unlocked once the player lands on the top spots of the DLC's new car races.
To be able to customize the cars, players must head over to one of the nine locations of Big Rick's Garage all over the game. They can include new items such as spoilers, decals, exhaust, wheels, as well as superchargers.
Meanwhile, 12 new car races will also be included in the latest "Mafia 3" DLC. According to the game developer, the theme for the car chases for "Mafia 3" was inspired by the classic car chase scenes from the late 1960s to early 1970s movies. "Whether you're taking tight turns in a sports car or blazing through oncoming traffic in an exotic model, there are 12 races for you to win throughout New Bordeaux — six circuit lap races and six point-to-point races," 2K Games stated.
The new "Mafia 3" DLC will also provide three new outfits for Lincoln, which he can use as he makes his presence felt all throughout the streets of New Bordeaux.
2K Games is also expected to release more DLCs after the new year.
