'Frozen 2' spoilers: Idina Menzel approves of giving Elsa a girlfriend

The campaign for a lesbian Elsa storyline in "Frozen 2" has gone massive that it has reached the character's voice actress Idina Menzel, who is supportive of the idea.

During her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where Miley Cyrus did the hosting duties, she emphasized that she is a "servant of Disney" before she admitted she is "all for it."

"I think it's a wonderful idea. It's a wonderful conversation that we should all have about whether a Disney princess or queen could be gay," the singer said.

However, she admitted that she "can't promise anybody that's going to happen" in "Frozen 2," but implied that she will be pleased about it if the writers went that route.

This is also the same perspective she showed when asked by PrideSource about her character getting a girlfriend instead of a prince charming in "Frozen 2."

"I can't promise anybody that that's what's gonna happen... But deep down am I really happy that it's causing people to talk about it and have these kinds of conversations? Yeah, I am," the actress said.

There is no concrete information on the plot for "Frozen 2." Cast member Kristen Bell, who voices Princess Anna, said that the team is "not rushing the script."

"They have the luxury to not rush because everyone is going to be excited whether it comes out tomorrow or in five years," Bell told IGN.

"They're making it as perfect as they need it to be and we're on call to start recording whenever," she continued.

With the success of the first "Frozen" film, which became the highest grossing film of all time, the expectation is high for the sequel to be on par, if not surpass the original.

With that said, "Frozen 2" remains shrouded in mystery. However, fans can expect to see the gang once more in an upcoming Olaf Christmas Special.
