Galaxy Note 4 vs iPhone 6 Plus Comparison, Specs Review: Which Phone is Better?
With Apple recently revealing its first shot at the Phablet market, users can't help but compare it with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which was also recently introduced by Samsung. The iPhone 6 Plus is Apple's answer to the rising demand for bigger phones.
Looking at the dimensions, the iPhone 6 Plus, which is considered 'huge' by Apple standards, measures 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1mm and weighs 172g. The Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, is 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 176g.
The iPhone 6 Plus boasts of a Full HD 1,920x1,080 resolution that uses an IPS panel as their screen technology. They also refer to it as the 'Retina display'. The Note 4 has a 2,560x1,440 resolution and uses the Super AMOLED technology.
The latest iPhone 6 Plus uses the iOS8, which has been praised, but has had a number of bugs in its early releases. Apple is still developing a better version of the mobile operating system that is free from bugs. The Galaxy Note 4, however, uses Android 4.4 Kitkat, which has been well featured by its users.
As for the performance, the iPhone 6 Plus uses 64-bit A8 chips, which Apple announced to be 25% faster and with 50% better graphics than the iPhone 5S. Meanwhile, the Note 4 uses a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.
The battery for the iPhone 6 Plus has been much talked about because Apple did not reveal its mAh ratings, but instead promised 16 hours of battery life for continuous video playback and 24 hours of 3G talk time.
The Note 4, on the other hand, has 3,200 mAh battery, which is similar to the battery power of the previous Note 3. With this amount of battery capacity, it should be able to get through the day even with heavy use.
The storage for the iPhone 6 Plus comes in 16GB, 64GB and 128 GB (non-expandable as it does not support micro SD cards). The Note 4's internal storage capacity is at 32GB, but expandable through a microSD card up to 64 GB.
Lastly, the iPhone 6 Plus comes with an 8-megapizel camera while the Note 4 comes with a 16-megapizel camera.
Basing on figures, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 seems to have the upper hand, but Apple's new cameras, especially on the iPhone 6 Plus are definitely impressive. For many, it may simply be down to the fact whether someone prefers the iOS or Android, as both phablets are right up there at the top of the market for larger phones.
