Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G Flex 2 Review: Comparison of Specs, Price - Samsung's Flagship Phone Faces Stiff Competition
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 might not have a curved screen but since its launch it has become hugely popular.
But the Samsung flagship phone faces stiff competition. One of the competitors is the LG G Flex 2 which is looking to dethrone the Galaxy Note 4from its position at the top of the smartphone market.
Starting with design, the G Flex 2 has a slightly curved body which gives it a "wow" factor. However, the Note 4 overpowers it in terms of height and breadth. The G Flex 2 does manage to regain some ground on the strength of its improved self-healing coating on its back panel, which can get rid of small scratches within 10 seconds.
As for their displays, the G Flex 2 comes with a smaller 5.5-inch screen when compared to its predecessor the G Flex. The curved P-OLED screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. The Note 4 has a bigger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch.
Comparing their specs, the G Flex 2 comes with the Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The older Note 4 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. The 32 GB versions of the G Flex 2 and Note 4 come with 3GB RAM, but the G Flex 2 even has a 16GB version with 2 GB RAM. Both also have microSD slots which allow for their external memory to be expanded up to 128 GB.
In terms of their cameras, the Note 4 has a better 16 megapixel version at its rear while the G Flex 2 has a 13 megapixel main camera.
Finally comparing their prices, the G Flex 2 doesn't have a price tag yet but is expected to be priced along the lines of the LG G3. The Note 4, on the other hand, is priced at $299 with a two-year contract.
