Galaxy Note 4 vs Nexus 6 Review: Specs, Features Comparison - Samsung Phablet Wins on Specs But Google Device Bigger
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Google Nexus 6 are among the best phablets in the marketplace. A comparison between the two Android devices reveals many similarities, but the Nexus 6 wins in terms of size while the Galaxy Note 4 has better specs.
Starting with design, the Note 4 and Nexus 6 both have plastic back panels but have metal bands along their edges, which make them appear premium. However, the Nexus 6 is 9 percent larger than the Note 4 and comes with a rounded back. The design of both tablets makes them easy to hold, but the Nexus 6 has a smoother finish. Because of this, several users recommend using cases to prevent accidental drops.
As for their displays, the Note 4 has a Super AMOLED 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, and a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch. It also has a stylus. Comparing specs again, there are many similarities. Both Note 4 and Nexus 6 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU, along with the Adreno 420 GPU.
Camera performance is where the Note 4 is better, as it has a 15 megapixel rear camera while the Nexus 6 has 13 megapixel version. Also the camera on the Note 4 is better when it comes to zooming in on shots.
In terms of battery, both have the same 3,220mAh version.
When it comes to a microSD slot, the Note 4 has one that can be used to extend its external memory up to 128 GB. The Nexus 6 does not have such feature.
Finally in terms of price, the Note 6 costs $300 with a two-year contract and $700 without. The Nexus 6 is cheaper, costing $250 with a contact and $650 without one.
