Galaxy S6 Edge vs HTC One M9 Specs Comparison: Features, Price Review - Curved S6 Edge is Faster But One M9 is Lovelier
The Galaxy S6 Edge, the latest flexible screen smartphone from Samsung, is a great eye-catcher, but on the same day it was released it immediately faced stiff competition from the HTC One M9, which has been billed as one of this year's most beautiful phones. Here's how the two measure up against each other.
Design
The S6 Edge relies on its curved screen that flows over it right and left side to capture attention. The rest of its design does not fall behind as it has a premium metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on its back panel. The curved screen does not only look cool but is also functional since it displays news alerts and colors associated with contacts and images of important contacts. As for the One M9, it comes with an aluminum unibody that is hand-polished. It also has beautiful color choices, including a silver and rose gold version, pink, amber gold and finally a gunmetal grey version.
Display

Specs
Benchmark tests have shown that the S6 Edge is much faster than the iPhone 6 and the One M9. This is credited to its Exynos 7420 chipset and CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and Mali-T760 GPU. As for the One M9, it has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and a CPU with four Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU.
Memory
The One M9 has a big edge memory-wise as it has a slot that allows for the addition of 128 GB of external storage. The S6 Edge does not have a memory slot. However, in terms of RAM, both devices have 3 GB.
Price
The S6 Edge could cost between $800 and $850 without a contract, while the HTC One M9 is rumored to cost around $649.
