Design
It's hard to call which is the winner between the Moto X and the S6 Edge in terms of design. The Moto X has a plastic frame with a metal edge, but its back panel can be customized with either wood, or bamboo, or leather, giving it a big plus point. As for the S6 Edge, it has a stunning curved screen that falls over both its right and left side. The curved portions allow for the display of colors corresponding to contacts and news alerts. They can even display images of important callers. As for its body, it has a metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on its front and back.
Display
The S6 Edge has a 5.1-inch super AMOLED display, a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a terrific density of 577 pixels per inch, all of which make it one of the smartphones with the best displays in the market. As for the Moto X, it is definitely a laggard in this aspect as it has a smaller 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a density of 312 pixels per inch.
Specs
In terms of specs, the Moto X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset coupled with a dual-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU. As for the S6 Edge, it has the latest Exynos 7420 chipset manufactured by Samsung, a CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked 2.1 GHz, and a Mali-T760 GPU.
Memory
As for memory slots, both devices do not have them. Coming to RAM, the Moto X has 2 GB while the S6 Edge has 3 GB.
