"Game of Thrones" season 7 might see Stark turning against Stark over the lordship of Winterfell and the right to lead the North against the White Walkers.

It might also see Sansa (Sophie Turner), currently safe beside her half-sibling (actually, cousin) Jon Snow (Kit Harington), in danger, thanks to Littlefinger's (Aiden Gillen) scheming.

In a recent interview with Vulture, Gillen hinted that his character may not have Sansa's best interests at heart. As fans recall, a scene from a previous season saw Littlefinger promising Cersei (Lena Headey) that he would bring her Sansa's head on a spike if she would name him Warden of the North.

And in the season 6 finale, when everyone was cheering for Jon and naming him King in the North, Littlefinger and Sansa exchanged a less-than-amused look.

While the look on Sansa's face wasn't quite resentful, it could also be variously interpreted as worried, fearful, disappointed, or doubtful.

Was she thinking about Littlefinger's comment that it should be her, a true-born Stark, leading the North, instead of Jon, who everyone thinks is a bastard?

What does this mean for season 7, in which Jon is supposed to be leading the North against the White Walkers?

"She really is becoming more like me," Gillen told Vulture. "More Baelish–like in the way she's operating, and the fact that she's operating at all. She has become a player under my tutelage, and that's what I wanted."

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Turner gave an insight into what was going on in Sansa's head, admitting that there was some jealousy over the credit Jon had received for the victory against Ramsay (Iwan Rheon).

"He's getting all of the credit for basically Sansa saving his a--," the actress said. "Obviously he played a huge part in the Battle of the Bastards, but Sansa really saved him. There's a bit of jealousy there. She looks at Littlefinger knowing that he would have put her as Queen in the North, and given her the credit she deserves."

Will Sansa soon be tempted to join Littlefinger in his cunning plans to claim the Iron Throne?

"Game of Thrones" season 7 debuts in 2017 on HBO.
