'Game of Thrones' season 7 release date, cast news, plot spoilers: Daenerys to turn into a mad queen? Sansa to show her dark side

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) might give in to her tendency of becoming a mad ruler just like her father was. Meanwhile, Sansa (Sophie Turner) will be showing her dark side in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

Previously in "Game of Thrones" season 6, Daenerys set sail to Westeros, taking one step closer to claiming the Iron Throne and conquering all the remaining houses. But it seems that not everyone will be easily persuaded to follow the lead of the Mother of Dragons.

According to a Reddit post that supposedly contains plot spoilers for "Game of Thrones" season 7, there will be a few houses, such as the Tarlys, that will choose not to bend the knee for Daenerys. The Mother of Dragons will then burn reportedly these houses and threaten to do the same for all the others.

The Queen's advisers, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Varys (Conleth Hill), will worry that Daenerys will become just like her father, King Aerys, otherwise known as the "Mad King."

On the other hand, Sansa will be turning a new leaf in "Game of Thrones" season 7 — specifically a bad one.

In an interview with Vulture, Turner shared what her character's mindset will be in season 7.

Turner explained that Sansa finally felt that she is in a position of power by the end of season 6, but this power was taken away from her immediately after the North proclaimed Jon as their King, bypassing her efforts in their victory in the Battle of the Bastards.

"So she was looking to Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) like, oh, you're right. Maybe that pretty picture you painted of me on the throne and you by my side isn't such a bad one," Turner said.

The actress then highlighted how Sansa smiled after she killed Ramsay (Iwan Rheon).

"You wonder if it's just a smile because it's her first kill, because this man is out of her life, or whether she's going to get a taste for it. Whether she enjoyed it. Whether it's a power trip," Turner added.

The actress confirms that her character has become more powerful and that she is in the game stronger than ever.

"This is so much more Dark Sansa. She's playing the game now, and very ruthlessly. When she wants something, she's going to go out and get it," Turner teased.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 premieres this 2017.
