With "Game of Thrones" currently in production for its seventh season, spoilers and leaks about the upcoming season have been abundant. Now, one of the stars of the fantasy drama series, Sophie Turner, has spoken up about what fans can expect when season 7 premieres next year.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner hinted of a power struggle happening in the upcoming season.

"She's seemingly in control for the first time — and it really suits her. She's kind of having a bit of a power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure, because there are threats to the power that she holds," she said.

It can be recalled that when season 6 ended, Sansa Stark (Turner) returned to Winterfell as Jon Snow (Kit Harington) became the new King in the North. Sansa appeared to have reservations about this development as she also played a huge part in the defeat of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). So it's possible that the struggle Turner is referring to could be between Sansa and Jon.

However, it's also possible that there are other threats. With Jon expected to have his highly anticipated first meeting with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) next season, it's possible that Sansa may be thrust upon a power position while her half-brother is away. It could be that Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) will once again play mind games with Sansa.

While plot details have yet to be confirmed, viewers can expect season 7 to be an epic one as it will see major game players coming together for the first time. Turner also hinted at this development as she expressed her excitement for the narrative of the seven-episode penultimate season of "Game of Thrones."

"What overall excites me about this season is that main characters are coming together and it feels like this are ramping up," the actress said. "It's really exciting and it feels like it's coming to a big conclusion."

Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on HBO in summer 2017.
