'Game of Thrones' season 7 update, rumors, spoilers: Lady Lyanna Mormont returning as deadly character
The fans might be getting a little too impatient as the seventh season of "Game of Thrones" will not premiere in the usual schedule. Instead of being aired around March or April, Season 7 is expected to be released mid-2017. Regardless, the long wait is still worth it, especially that one of the fan-favorites from the previous season is confirmed to make a comeback in Season 7.
As reported by GQ Magazine, the actress who played the small but fearsome lady of the Bear island, Lyanna Mormont, was spotted alongside her co-stars Kit Harington and Liam Cunningham. Ramsey, who is now known by many people all over the world wide web as Lady Lyanna Mormont, has only appeared in a few scenes in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, but she has amassed a huge following due to her effective portrayal of the staunch ruler of the House Mormont.
Harington's character, Jon Snow, asked for the aid of the House Mormont to take down the Boltons and re-establish the House Stark in the North. Together with Ser Davos (Cunningham), Jon has successfully persuaded the fearsome lady of the Bear Island to be an ally of the Starks. Lady Mormont is also among the rulers in the North who supported the claim of Jon as the King of Winterfell.
For Season 7, however, not much is known about Lady Lyanna Mormont's role, aside from being a close ally of Jon Snow and the House Stark. Nevertheless, the fans can expect the same fierce character to be portrayed by Ramsey. In fact, the character might come fiercer and deadlier as ever, if the latest rumors are to be believed.
According to Yibada, Lady Mormont is said to responsible for killing several characters in the seventh season of "Game of Thrones." The surprising part is that the fearsome ruler is rumored to kill major characters in the series. Perhaps Lady Lyanna's kill list include mostly the enemies of the Stark and Mormont alliance.
As there is still no official synopsis or teaser for Season 7, it is better to take these early rumors with a grain of salt. However, it is undeniable that the "GoT" fans are also excited to see more of Lady Mormont.
