'General Hospital' Spoilers: Carly, Jake in 'Compromising Situation'

Although this week will be a short one for "General Hospital," there are lots of great dramas waiting for its fans. On Dec. 31, ABC will play a re-run of the show while on Jan. 1, it won't air at all to make way for the New Year's Day specials.

Here's what you should expect to see this week as your favorite characters from Port Charles celebrate the New Year's Eve.

First up, Nathan and Maxie are determined to spend the New Year's Eve together although travel conditions may not work in their favor as they are in the opposite ends of the U.S. They will find themselves in a race against time as they try to get together before midnight. On the other hand, Patrick Drake and Sam Morgan will also be spending time together to celebrate New Year's Eve.

Alexis will be arriving together with Ned and will see Julian while Carly helps Jake find a job. Meanwhile, Lucy and Duke will finally talk about how they feel about each other and determine whether they should or should not continue with their romance. On the other hand, spoilers tease that Carly and Jake will soon be finding themselves in a "compromising situation."

However, this week won't be all about merriment as Jake will soon be reunited with his wife, Sam, as well as his son, Danny. Spoilers indicate that "reunion for the family doesn't seem to be in the cards for the popular couple, not any time soon anyways."
