'General Hospital' Spoilers: Cast Situation Sees TV Drama and Real Life Issues Clash

Fans of "General Hospital," and other TV series for that matter, tend to keep tabs of the comings and goings of cast members that they love primarily because they are concerned about what's going to happen to the character of a cast member who is dropping out.

Secondary to this, of course, is the plot. When a character enters or exits -- even a minor one -- there's always the question of how things will play out with the presence or absence of such a character.

This week's last day spoilers for "General Hospital" (ABC, Monday to Friday at 2 p.m.) have something to do with such a casting situation.

At the center of the issue is Julie Marie Berman, who used to play Lulu Spencer from 2005 to 2013, before she dropped out of "General Hospital" to the dismay of some fans.

For some time now, the online world has been buzzing that Berman has been chosen to replace fellow actress Kim Matula in the role of Hope Logan in the show "The Bold and the Beautiful."

But just when matters appeared to be settling down, here comes the news that Berman will supposedly come back to "General Hospital" to take on a new role. That could throw a huge wrench in the current story line. Another pressing question is, will Berman be able to blend in after her sudden "General Hospital" departure?

The highlights for the remaining "General Hospital" day of this week are as follows: on Friday, Nov. 14, Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) will deal with someone they weren't expecting, and Sonny (Maurice Benard) is seen dealing with his grief.
