After Netflix's miniseries "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" ended in somewhat of a cliffhanger, many of the show's fans are beginning to believe that the show will possibly return for another season.

It has been a month since the four-part revival premiered on Netflix. And just when the miniseries' viewers have started to get used to the idea that Rory (Alexis Bledel) is pregnant and that the identity of the baby's father may never be revealed, Netflix just had to post a cryptic message on Twitter that was sure to spark a lot of interest and open up old wounds.

The tweet read, "Where's an eighth grade science fair when you need one?" This was a reference from the original series when April discovered that Luke was her father through her eighth-grade science fair project. However, based on the photo in the tweet, the eighth-grader is implied to be Rory's kid, and the child's possible father could be Logan (Matt Czuchry), the guy dressed in a Wookie costume, or the forgettable Paul (Jack Carpenter).

Any of the mentioned men could be the real father, but Netflix's tweet, according to Glamour, may be confirming the widespread theory that Logan and Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) are the Christopher and Luke of the next "Gilmore Girls" generation. Although Jess has been ruled out as the potential father of Rory's baby, it looks like he will serve as the child's father figure like Luke did for Rory when she was young.

With this new development, fans of the show are now speculating that another "Gilmore Girls" revival season will be released in 2017, and it may possibly take place in the future when Rory's child is at middle-school age.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," has proven to be a hit for Netflix. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, nearly five million viewers between the ages of 18 and 49 have watched all four episodes of the revival. Its binge audience in the first three-day window is only beaten by "Orange is the New Black" season 4 (5.8 million) and "Fuller House" (7.3 million).
