'Gilmore Girls' spoilers: Twitter post hints at 2nd season; who is the father of Rory's baby?
Hit TV series "Gilmore Girls" debuted on Netflix on Thanksgiving Day, giving fans a chance to catch-up with the mother-daughter tandem. "Gilmore Girls: A Year in Life" got the fans hungry for more episodes, but sadly, no definite date of the next episode is announced as of this time.
The waiting game has led the fans to practice their research power and found some Twitter posts that may hint at the future episodes of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in Life." As seen on Twitter, the Netflix hit show may have another season.
Then, the father of Rory's baby is also hinted when another post reads, "Where's an eighth grade science fair when you need one? #GilmoreGirls."
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" concluded with Rory confessing to her mother that she is carrying a child. The father, however, was not disclosed. Fans are now expecting that the future episodes will reveal if the baby's father is her ex-boyfriend, Logan, her boyfriend, Paul, or with a guy in a Wookie costume she had a one-night stand with.
"The old adage is you always want to leave them wanting more," said show co-producer Amy Sherman-Palladino in an interview with TVLine. "You don't really want someone to walk away from something you worked so hard on going, 'Alright. I can move on,'" she continued.
Co-producer Daniel Palladino also revealed that they intentionally kept the identity of the baby's father a mystery.
He said, "I know with the time passage it wasn't 100 percent clear, but we also didn't have her engage with who she thought was the father. She felt like she was going ahead on this, deciding what to do and how to do it solo, that's why we had her go to her father. At that point you didn't know she was pregnant, but in hindsight, I think that was ..."
He also added that they have thought that the story should focus not on the identity of the father's baby, but of Rory repeating Lorelei's story."
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in Life" still available for streaming on Netflix.
