The sixth and final season of "Glee," America's favorite musical-comedy show, will premiere on Jan. 9, Friday, TV Line reveals.

In an interview, co-creator Ryan Murphy says the final season of "Glee" will focus on the original cast.

"The final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all. It really [will be] a lovely, fitting season that ... dwells on the original people that were on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. That really is the last season," Murphy says.

"We'll revisit some of the new kids that came and went. There's a return of the Jane-Matt characters in a big way. It's really interesting, a very sweet, satisfying ending to the story," he goes on.

In the premiere episode, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) will be taking on the role of an ice princess, just like in "Frozen," Disney's hit animated film.

A Twitter photo captioned "I don't care.. What they're going to say.. Let the storm rage on.. The cold never bothered me anyway...," which Lea Michele posted, teased about her "Let It Go" performance.

The final season of "Glee" is part of the two-season renewal Fox awarded the show on April 19, 2013. It was Murphy himself who announced that the upcoming season will be the show's last. The two-hour finale will air on March 20, 2015.
