Golden State Warriors trade rumors: Warriors looking to trade for young star
Finally finding their stride, the Golden State Warriors are now looking like a well-oiled machine as they go on their winning streak.
They have won their last seven games and now hold a 11-2 record, only behind the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference.
Players are now finding their comfort zones in the team and the Warriors are scary. However, there are still speculations that they could still be better than they are right now.
There are talks linking the team to possibly trade for a young and rising star in the league as they look to let go of their veteran pieces. The rumor says that the Warriors are trying to make a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers that would bring Julius Randle in exchange for Andre Iguodala.
This looks like a very interesting trade for both teams as it has its pros and cons. For the Warriors, it is clear that they are hoping for younger stars who would help them stay relevant in the coming years.
Randle has improved dramatically and this year he has averaged 14.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He is also shooting at an impressive 54 percent from the field as compared to 44 percent in his career.
This move for the Warriors will help them keep a deep bench and have a young star to help them down the line.
In return, they are losing the experience and versatility Iguodala has, which helped them win the NBA championship a few years ago.
The Lakers may entertain this as Iguodala will give championship pedigree and experience to the young group but will risk missing out on one of the core pieces they have at the moment.
These are mere speculations but expect more news on this once there are more developments.
