The next generation of Google Nexus smartphone has been a favorite topic amongst tech freaks all over the internet. According to the latest reports, Google Nexus 2016 will come out in August 2016 and will run on the highly anticipated Android N operating system.

There have been speculations suggesting that Google is almost done with the development of the Android N OS. Rumor has it that it will be called Android Nutella and the software will debut on the next Nexus smartphone.

It's no question that millions of Android users all over the world are anticipating the arrival of the new OS. According to a report by ArsTechnica, it was previously observed that Android jumped from 6.XX version to 7.0; however, the publication updated the report and changed the SDK back to 6.XX. Google has yet to provide solid details with regard to these reports; however, some tech observers are saying that Google may have been trolling to confuse several publications.

Apparently, Google is on a prank campaign, somehow trolling even Android users. There are reports saying that Android beta testers have discovered the Android N logo deep in the menu settings of the device. However, when users do a long-press, the screen shows a different label.

The Android Nutella hint came from Hiroshi Lockheimer himself, a Google senior executive who is the main man of the Android N development.

According to a report by BGR, the Google executive has continued to tease fans on social media with regard to the name of the new Google OS. The publication site also added that Android Nutella definitely sounds better than the old Android KitKat.

Meanwhile, if rumors prove to be true, fans will be able to experience the new Android N on the next Google Nexus smartphone in August. Rumor has it that the handset will carry advanced specs and features. Nonetheless, Google has yet to provide solid details with regard to its development, much less its release date.
