Since the start of the year, rumors about the upcoming Google Nexus 7 2016 has been pretty rampant suggesting its release in 2016. However, many fans were disappointed when the American Internet search engine failed to announce the handset at the recently concluded Google I/O. According to the latest report, the device will come with a pre-installed Android N.
There are speculations all over the Internet saying that the next iteration of Google Nexus 7 will arrive with the highly anticipated Android N operating system. According to several tech observers, the full version of the software will become available in August and will be rolled out along with Nexus 7 tablet.
According to a report by The Verge, previous rumors suggest that the new Android operating system will be named as Android Nutella. Apparently, the name was given by Android vice president Hiroshi Lockheimer, who has been known to troll a lot online. As of the moment, the company has yet to provide specific details regarding its name and release date.
Meanwhile, despite the scarcity of the device's official details, rumors about its specifications and features have already hit online. According to reports, the device will still come with a 7-inch screen similar to its predecessor. The tablet will have a Quad-HD display technology and will run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm. The powerful chipset will be paired with 4 GB of RAM for optimal usage.
There are also speculations suggesting that the device may run on NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor instead of the Snapdragon 820. Regardless of the processor to be used, along with the latest Android N software, it will have more than enough power for multitasking.
There are also reports suggesting that the device may come in multiple variants; however, this has yet to be confirmed by Google. For now, fans will have to stay tuned for more updates about the upcoming tablet.
