Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs news update: A new Huawei-made 7-inch tablet expected to be launch in October?

It is going to be a busy end of the year for Google as they prepare to launch two new Pixel smartphones in October. Amidst the contradicting reports with regard to their future releases, rumors are rife that the American search engine will also release a new tablet before the year 2016 ends.

According to the latest report, Google has tapped Huawei to manufacture a new Nexus tablet that will run on Android's latest operating system, the 7.0 Nougat. In a report by The Verge, Google will try to redeem the company's failure to produce a tablet that will capture the interest of consumers. According to the publication, the Nexus 9, which came out in 2014, was not much of a success and the Pixel C's software received bad feedbacks from users. Popular tech tipster, Evan Blass, has recently said that the new Google 7 inch tablet will come with 4 GB of RAM.

As expected, Google and Huawei did not provide any official response with regard to the rumored tablet. If rumors prove to be true, this will not be the first project the two companies will ever work on since Huawei had also manufactured the previous Nexus 6P, which came out in September 2015. According to Tech Week Europe, Taiwanese tech giant, HTC, might also contribute to the project by producing hardware for the new 7-inch tablet.

HTC is also rumored to manufacture the next Google Pixel smartphones; however, reports are saying that the upcoming devices will not be bringing the HTC branding.

Meanwhile, Google is expected to hold a presser on Oct. 4 where it is expected to launch the two new smartphones. Google is also rumored to announce a Daydream VR headset, a new 4k-enable Chromecast dongle and the 7-inch tablet.

As of the moment, fans will have to wait for Google to make an official announcement before making any assumptions.
