'Gotham' Spoilers, Recap News: The Red Hood Gang Comes to Town; Fish Gouges Own Eye and Stomps It
In the last episode of "Gotham" – which airs at 8/7c on Fox every Monday – the Red Hood started robbing banks and distributing the money, mirroring the behavior of "Robin Hood."
The episode had a number of gruesome twists in the form of a number of Red Hood gang leaders being murdered.
In the dungeon, Fish (Jada Pinkett Smith) shockingly gouged out her own eye and stomped on it.
While planning another bank heist, Red Hood explained to his gang of thieves that the hood made him look invincible and whoever wore it was the recognized leader.
During the bank robbery, the gang members were nearly apprehended when the cops arrived. They were saved by Red Hood who threw cash money into the air prompting a stampede among people in the street, allowing them to escape. Following the escape, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) managed to track the gang. In the gang's hideout, the police found that a gang member had murdered the man wearing the red hood and taken hold of the hood and the leadership position.
In their next robbery, the gang members again threw up some of the cash they stole to allow people to share in their loot and to provide cover for their escape.
However an eyewitness helped Gordon pick the leader from a gallery of suspects. He was subsequently released so that he could lead the police to the gang's hideaway. As the police arrived, they found out that the gang members had once again killed their leader wearing the red hood and that another person has donned the hood.
In their final robbery, all the gang members were killed and a passerby fled with the hood.
Meanwhile, Fish was taken to meet the manager of the dungeon she was imprisoned in. She later found out that a doctor was harvesting body parts and that her eyes were going to be removed. She then took a spoon and gouged out one of her eyes and stomped on it in order to remain alive.
In another scene, Bruce (David Mazouz) and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) were visited by one of Alfred's former army buddies named Reggie (David O'Hara). After spending time training Bruce and chatting with Alfred, he revealed that Alfred had once killed 12 men during a combat mission.
However, soon after Alfred caught Reggie rummaging through Bruce's study, in an apparent effort to steal something of value. Reggie stabbed Alfred and fled. Bruce came to rescue Alfred.
It was then revealed that Reggie was a for-hire mercenary working for the villainous board of directors of Wayne Enterprises who planned to kill Bruce.
