'Grand Theft Auto 6' release date, news & update: Easter eggs found in 'GTA 5'
Fans continue to wait for the announcement of "Grand Theft Auto 6" ("GTA 6") after Rockstar Games revealed that it will be releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2." However, there is still no word regarding the sixth sequel so fans now wonder if the game will get the same fate as the open world western action-adventure video game.
According to reports, there is still hope for "GTA 6" despite several losing the energy already to wait for it. But there are some who believe that the next open-world, action-adventure video game will make it to the shelves by 2018. If not, then it will most likely come out in 2020. But nothing is certain yet and considering the fact that Rockstar is gearing up for the release of the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel, "GTA 6" could be placed in the backseat.
Rockstar is planning to release its other title in fall 2017 so it will be difficult to simultaneously work on two major projects. Also, there are rumors going around saying that "GTA 6" will be treading a different route from the previous games and the alleged reason for this is the conflict between the company and former head Leslie Benzies. This could also be the reason why the game is getting more delays.
Nonetheless, fans revealed that they have found some Easter eggs in "GTA 5" which may be some hints or clues for the upcoming "GTA 6." The Easter eggs were discovered by YouTube user Sernandoe. The YouTuber said that there are three sets of Easter eggs that pertain to the game location for "GTA 6."
First is an emblem-like thing situated inside an empty cargo container that can be spotted during campaign mission. It has "6" written on it and it's believed to be the Corporate Security Gruppe 6. Another clue is found in Michael's home wherein an air flyer ticket is placed on the study table. It says "fly U6" and this is fueling speculations that "GTA 6" could be located in North Yankton or in some sort of ice-cold arctic regions.
There is also another clue in the Vespucci beach where one can find a towel printed with "I love VC." The VC is believed to be Vice City which could indicate that the next game will take place here.
