Fans and critics will surely agree that the "Grand Theft Auto 5" ("GTA 5") is a stellar success. However, as much they have enjoyed the title from Rockstar Games, gamers are surely looking forward to the release of the "Grand Theft Auto 6." Five years have already passed since the game company released "GTA 5" and for the waiting public, any information regarding the next release is very welcome.

Sadly, Rockstar Games have already announced that they are not focusing on divulging more information about the "GTA 6" as their bigger concern right now is to work with the "GTA 5" and its updates. However, it seems that the multi-million budget needed is another factor hindering the company from moving on to the next "GTA" release, since developing "GTA 5" already cost them $265-million.

However, while waiting for more update releases from Rockstar regarding the much-awaited "GTA 6," many have come up with their own speculations.

One of the most popular rumor suggests that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be released in 2018. This is based on Rockstar's history of having a five-year gap between its game releases.

Meanwhile, newer reports suggest that the upcoming "GTA" game will receive Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) support which will further delay its release. Neurogadget speculates that "Grand Theft Auto 6" might be the first game to come for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox 2. This rumor further drags "GTA 6" to a 2020 release to accompany Sony and Microsoft's new gaming console's launch.

Rockstar has a whole lot of things to explore for "Grand Theft Auto 6." If they decide to keep a large map for the upcoming game, they could make a map larger than the "GTA 3" and "GTA 5" maps combined. Fans will surely appreciate a female protagonist, as well.

Furthermore, rumors also say that while "GTA 5" is ideally set in Los Santos and Blaine county, "GTA 6" will probably be set in a new area. It may even be set in London, if rumors are correct.
