'Grand Theft Auto V' PC Edition Release Date: 60fps and 4K Resolution Features Launching on April 14
After three postponements, "Grand Theft Auto V" for PC will finally be released on April 14.
The game was originally scheduled to arrive in the fall of 2014, but the date was pushed twice.
Those who pre-ordered the game will get a huge $200,000 in-game cash bonus which they can use in GTA online. As for those who have pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, pre-loads kicked off on April 7. Digital copies of the game are available through Steam and Rockstar Warehouse.
Reviewers who have had a chance to sample the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" are raving about the improved graphics that run at 60fps and 4K resolution.
Rockstar, which produces the game, earlier cited how the PC version is superior to the game that is available for consoles. The company said players in the game will be able to choose how many people they want to appear on sidewalks by using the "population density slider" and thereby drastically alter the traffic population present in a city.
Additionally, the settings in the game can be changed to alter reflections and skins. The images and action are much more realistic than those on the console version of the game.
Rockstar also acknowledged that while many gamers will not be able to use the game at 4K, it wanted to give the opportunity to hardcore gamers with high-end systems to experience the very best that the game can offer.
For gamers who plan to use average systems, Rockstar said they would be able to get 1080p performance out of it without any problem.
With the enhancements made on the PC version of the game, PC Gamer has billed "Grand Theft Auto V" for PCs as an "entirely new game."
Being able to run the game at 60fps is not possible in any of the consoles.
"Grand Theft Auto V" for PC can be played on a single screen but it will also come with support for two and three monitors and even 3D screen.
