'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 episode 10 air date news, spoilers: Doctor heads for prison; Owen searches for Amelia
ABC's Thank God It's Thursday (TGIT) lineup returns in three weeks, and alongside other Shondaland dramas "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder," "Grey's Anatomy" will finally be back on air in January 2017.
While a synopsis for "You Can Look (But You'd Better Not Touch)" has yet to be revealed, the upcoming episode will be picking up from where the midseason finale left off. It is expected that the forthcoming installment will deal with the aftermath of the emotional winter finale.
According to Jessica Capshaw, a Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will indeed go to prison in the new episode. However, it will not be Alex (Justin Chambers).
"Arizona's been called in on a case at a maximum security prison for an inmate who can't go to a regular hospital because she's that dangerous," the actress told TVGuide.
Capshaw said that Arizona and a few colleagues will be called in to do a seemingly very simple procedure but given that "Grey's Anatomy" is a medical drama, complications will undoubtedly arise.
"It's truly kind of creepy at the same time as it's super provocative and exciting," Capshaw teased.
Meanwhile, Kevin McKidd also talked about the fate of his character Owen's marriage to Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) after the latter packed her bags and left him.
"He tries to find her. In the initial day after, he tries to give her some space, because sometimes that's what people need. But there comes a time where enough's enough," the actor told the publication in a separate interview.
McKidd added that Owen will try to uncover Amelia's whereabouts so that they will be able to have a heart-to-heart talk and the trauma surgeon can state his position, which is that "this kind of on-again-off-again think can't go on forever." The actor said that it will be up to Amelia on how she reacts to Owen's revelation. However, before this conversation actually happens, Owen will supposedly spend a lot of time looking for his wife.
Another couple whose fate hangs in the balance, Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington), may actually have a better prognosis. While viewers have yet to find out if Alex is indeed going to jail after taking a plea deal, it's possible that the couple can finally take the necessary steps in healing their relationship.. However, the likely appearance of Jo's abusive husband will definitely complicate matters.
To see how all these events unfold, be sure to catch the midseason premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" season 7 on Thursday. Jan. 19, 2017, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
