'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 episode 14 spoilers: Alex goes back to Grey Sloan; Marika Dominczyk teases future challenges for Eliza and Arizona

Alex (Justin Chambers) is surprised when he returns to a new Grey Sloan on the upcoming episode of ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

Titled "Back Where You Belong," next week's episode will see one character make a tough decision. According to the official synopsis, Alex finally comes back to the hospital. However, he eventually learns that a lot has changed since he left. Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) tries to stay away from Eliza (Marika Dominczyk), while Jo (Camilla Luddington) gets emotional when she is forced to make a difficult decision on a case.

ABC released a new promo for the episode, and it previews the struggle of power among the Grey Sloan doctors. The clip opens with one character convincing Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) to return to the hospital and get her job back. At some point in the teaser, Miranda (Chandra Wilson) visits Meredith in her home and asks her if they could talk.

"We are going to figure this out like smart women," Miranda tells Meredith. In the next scene, the former says she "had a choice to make." However, Meredith disagrees and says Miranda "made the wrong choice." It remains to be seen if Meredith gets her job back or not.

Thursday's hour saw Eliza and Arizona in their most intimate moment to date when the former helped the latter fix her car. Dominczyk recently caught up with TV Line, and she revealed that the pair's parking-lot encounter somehow represented a turning point in their relationship.

"Arizona extended a little bit of an olive branch to Eliza, and she didn't have to do that," she shared, adding, "It was a nice little crack-the-door-open moment." The "Grey's Anatomy" newbie also said that Eliza and Arizona's budding relationship will continue to be complicated, saying, "There are lots of peaks and valleys coming."

The 13th season of "Grey's Anatomy" airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
