"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 is headed for yet another complicated cliff-hanger.

The cast of the long-running ABC medical drama recently appeared at Entertainment Weekly's PopFest, where they joined EW editor-in-chief Henry Goldblatt for Three Rounds. At the event were Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie Edwards), Kelly McCreary (Maggie Pierce), Jason George (Ben Warren), and Giacomo Gianniotti (Andrew DeLuca), all of whom dropped hints about the fast-approaching midseason finale.

When asked to describe the highly anticipated episode in one word, George answered "justice," McCreary said "rubble," and Hinton responded with "complicated." Gianniotti gave a longer answer, saying that the midseason finale will reveal a couple of long-coming truths.

While the suggestion that the episode will be "complicated" isn't really a surprise, given that the series exists in Shondaland, the answer "rubble" seems to imply another disaster — perhaps an earthquake or an explosion that causes a building to collapse.

During Three Rounds, the cast members also shared that the upcoming episodes will see Maggie learning what happened between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Riggs (Martin Henderson), as well as certain details of Stephanie's past coming out into the open.

As fans have been expecting, things may heat up between Jo (Camilla Luddington) and DeLuca. "They've gotten really close through this trial," Gianniotti said. "He's found a real friend in her, and through that, maybe something more than that has developed," he added.

Meanwhile, Hinton recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about a possible new love interest for Stephanie and said that she wants her character to take her time grieving over Kyle (Wilmer Valderrama).

"She had her heart broken at the end of last season, so I think you have to have time to heal from that before you move on to a brand new romance — even though they like to throw them into your lap any chance they get on Grey's," she said.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
