'Grimm' season 6 episode 5 spoilers: Nick and crew deals with a ravenous Wesen in 'The Seven Year Itch'

Curiosity nearly kills Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) in the next episode of "Grimm." | YouTube/Grimm

The Scooby Gang may have been able to avert further threat of the El Cuegle in the previous episode of "Grimm," but their next Wesen adversary may just prove to be a much stronger force to reckon with.

In the next episode of NBC's fantasy police procedural series, Nick (David Giuntoli) and crew will find themselves in deep trouble from a Wesen with a seemingly insatiable hunger. The winged creature only comes to the surface every seven years for a 24-hour buffet. His favorite cuisine? Humans.

In the trailer for the episode titled "The Seven Year Itch," the Scooby Gang gets a glimpse of one of the Wesen's victims, all bones and rotten flesh. They realize that they will have a limited time frame to bury this Wesen to the ground for good, and it seems that the Wesen will not make things any easier for them. Will they be able to kill the creature before it goes back into the ground to hibernate and wait out the next seven years before its next big feast?

The episode will also continue torturing Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) with guilt-tripping visions of his old friend, Meisner (Damien Puckler), who has understandably refused to take Renard's excuse for mercy killing him in the previous season. Elsewhere, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) will pay their doctor a visit to confirm what Diana (Hanna R. Loyd) has told them about having more than one baby on the way.

After spending the better part of the last episode in the tunnels trying to find answers, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) succumbs to the vulnerabilities of her human body, and she will have to rely on Adalind's (Claire Coffee) help to regain her strength. Hopefully, Adalind may also be able to help her figure out the mystery of the stick and the cloth that came with it.

Also, now that Diana has directly expressed a potential intention to hurt Nick should the Grimm hurt her mother, will Renard take advantage of his daughter's devotion to her mother to take Nick out of the equation?

Meanwhile, KGW.com reported that the "Grimm" set has officially wrapped up last Tuesday, Jan. 24, after shooting its final episode, bringing the total number of episodes aired to 123. In accordance with this, the cast of "Grimm" also held the last gala for the benefit of the Grimmster Endowment fund to support OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Actor Roiz, who's the mind behind the annual event, said that since this will be the show's final season, he had extraordinary expectations for this year's gala.

"We plan to leave the Grimmster Endowment well financed, as a lasting gift to the children and families of Oregon for their warm welcome over the past six years," Roiz said.

"Grimm" season 6 episode 5 airs on Friday, Feb. 3, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
