'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Massive shake-up teased; Is someone changing sides?
Portland is in for a major shakeup in the final season of "Grimm," according to cast member Claire Coffee, whose character will be part of this massive shift.
Speaking to Showbiz Junkies, she said that "Grimm" season 6 will see alliances mixing up and teased that the opening of the season will get fans back into the action.
"I think the beginning of the season is incredibly intense. Usually we take a season to work toward the insanity and that level of tension, but we're starting with it this season. It's not letting up. There's not a lot of breathing room so far," Coffee told Showbiz Junkies.
In "Grimm" season 6, Adalind will still find herself in the middle of a dilemma involving her former husband Renard (Sasha Roiz) and Nick (David Giuntoli).
The new season will, in fact, open in the same scene the fifth season left off, where Renard found himself killing the leader of the Black Claw under the control of his daughter (Hannah R. Lloyd) right in front of Nick.
It is expected that Renard will take the credit so that Nick will basically owe him for saving his life while he also takes over the villainous organization.
"Grimm" season 6 is believed to see Renard become the full-on villain. This poses conflict for Adalind as her daughter with the baddie wants them to be together.
Diana is prepared to eliminate anyone who gets in the way of bringing her family back together. This means that Nick will be on the receiving end of her wrath soon.
It is unclear if the shifting of alliances will be employed here. Adalind has the potential to change sides seeing that it is her family on the line.
Meanwhile, "Grimm" season 6 will be the show's final season. It will only have 13 episodes as opposed to the usual 22 so expect some fast-paced storytelling and action.
"Grimm" Season 6 will premiere on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.
