'Grimm' season 6 spoilers, plot news: new promo teases 'the final chapter' of death and blood
The first promo for "Grimm" season 6 has been released. While NBC kept it short and sweet, it did emphasize one thing — death is imminent.
The final season of "Grimm" appears to make Renard (Sasha Roiz) a full-blown villain. From the looks of it, he will go after Nick (David Giuntoli) and will stop at nothing until he kills him.
"Having gained a seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring peace," the synopsis for "Grimm" season 6 warns.
Nick will be the primary target of Renard and will be forced to be on the run. This could explain why the "Grimm" season 6 premiere is titled "Fugitive."
The promo shows that Nick will not be alone. Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) will also accompany him. It remains to be seen where this will lead them.
After all, the assassin has been showing signs of reverting back to her old self — Juliette, the woman who loved and was loved by Nick.
However, this will be tricky as "Grimm" season 6 appears to show that the Portland detective is already into Adalind and their child bonds them together.
Unfortunately for Nick, he will have to face the wrath of Diana (Hannah R. Lloyd), who will do everything — even kill — just to make sure her mother and father, Renard, end up together.
Meanwhile, "Grimm" season 6 will also see Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) "grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world."
"Grimm" will air its final 13 episodes beginning Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, on NBC.
