'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Nick and Renard confused about all the dead bodies around them
With the premiere of "Grimm" season 6 a stone's throw away, NBC releases a sneak peek of the season opener, "Fugitive," which picks up from when the season 5 finale left off.
That moment was, of course, the death of the Black Claw leader at the hands of his ally, Renard (Sasha Roiz), who was taken aback about what happened.
Though no one was more surprised than Nick (David Giuntoli), who, in the "Grimm" season 6 sneak peek, said to Renard, "I guess I should thank you. I thought you were on his side."
When he asked the man he was just brawling it out with a few seconds ago why he killed Bonaparte (Shaun Toub) and practically saved him from what he thought was certain death, Renard said that he is not sure.
Renard chose to make Nick believe that he saved him even though in truth, he knew someone was controlling him. That someone was none other than his daughter, Diana (Hannah R. Lloyd).
It looks like Renard's version of the truth will prevail in "Grimm" season 6. Now, it appears that he has inherited the force of the Black Claw.
In the first promo released for "Grimm" season 6, Nick was revealed to be on the run. Renard is after him and is determined to kill the Portland detective.
It would appear that he has become a bigger force to reckon with. With Nick a fugitive, Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) are left to fend off Renard's forces.
The synopsis for the "Grimm" season 6 premiere is as follows:
"Following the massacre in Nick's loft, Capt. Renard is hellbent on eliminating him once and for all. Hank and Wu head back to the precinct to keep an eye on the Captain and help give the gang the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with staying in Portland now that their family will be expanding. Elsewhere, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) suffers the side effects of the mysterious stick's healing power."
"Grimm" season 6 premieres with "Fugitive" on Friday, Jan. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
