'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Nick's dark side to be revealed

It seems life has not been too good to Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) in the recent seasons of "Grimm," what with losing someone dear to him, being betrayed as well as threatened. However, what may have pushed him to the limit was when Adalind and the baby were snatched out of his hands by the villain, Black Claw. All these things have made Nick what he is, but a bigger impact will be felt by the show's fans when "Grimm" season 6 returns.

A darker side to the character will be revealed in season 6, despite Black Claw having been destroyed by the close of "Grimm" season 5.

When he was in New Zealand, Giuntoli shared at the Armageddon Expo that his character will grow "very vicious" in the upcoming season. He went on to point out that Nick had already started being that during the season 5 finale.

"He turns," the actor added.

He explained at length that, after his powers were displayed in the past seasons, what will now be expected of his character in the coming season would be to display more aggression and ferociousness, something close to being "unhinged."

With his fight to take back Adalind and baby Kelly coming up, he would have to be really tough in order to handle what will be in store for him. Season 6 of "Grimm" will tell whether Nick's and Adalind's love will prevail.

What's more is that Nick would be going right into it as the new season opens with the story taking up exactly where season 5 left off. He will find himself in a confrontation with Renard (Sasha Roiz).

But as to whether the confrontation will be of the physically brutal kind or one of dialogue is something left to see when the show returns.

"Grimm" season 6 will debut on Oct. 28 on NBC.
