'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Renard tracks down Nick; Diana's life to be in danger

Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) will stop at nothing to find Nick (David Giuntoli) on the upcoming premiere of NBC's supernatural drama "Grimm" season 6.

Titled "Fugitive," this week's episode will see Nick on the run after Renard announced a shoot-to-kill order on him. According to the official synopsis, Renard is hell bent on killing Nick once and for all after the massacre in his loft. In an effort to give the gang the upper hand, Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) travel back to the precinct to keep a close eye on the Captain. Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) struggles with the side effects caused by the mysterious stick's healing power, while Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) must deal with their new life in Portland now that their family will have a new addition.

With the help of Black Claw, Renard managed to cheat his way into Portland's highest office. He blackmailed Adalind (Claire Coffee) into pretending to be his fiancée and helped destroy what's left of the Hadrian's Wall resistance. However, the first few episodes of this season will see things take a different turn for the strapping Zauberbiest.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Roiz revealed that Renard's reign of terror will soon come to an end. "When we finished on Season 5, he's really on top," the actor said, "and that changes very quickly by Episode 3.″ His stint as the city mayor will also be more difficult when he encounters a bunch of opposition. That being said, he will need all the support he could get, particularly from Diana.

"His daughter plays a large role in his life, and I kind of like that element," Roiz continued. "...As the season progresses, it's very imperative that he's there for her, because she becomes the target of something possibly very dangerous," Roiz says. "He has to step it up."

The sixth and final season of "Grimm" premieres Friday, January 6 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
