GTA 5 PC Release Date, Latest News: Worldwide Launch on April 14; New Radio Station
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 for PC will finally be released on April 14 worldwide after a series of delays pushed it back from January.
Apart from its beautiful graphics, the PC version will also feature a new radio station full of songs inspired by the game's original score.
Rockstar has released a new set of very high-resolution screenshots for GTA 5's PC version, showing off the breathtaking visual effects made possible with its customizable graphics settings. You may visit Rockstar Newswire to view the screenshots. The screenshots will remind PC gamers that they're getting the best looking version of the game, by far.
The GTA 5 PC version will include a new radio station called The Lab and it will include tracks pulled from "Welcome to Los Santos," a new album inspired by the game's original score. The album and station features tracks composed by The Alchemist and Oh No, along with Woody Jackson and Tangerine Dream, who were behind the game's guitar-and-synthesizer heavy incidental score.
The album will be released for download and on CD or vinyl on April 21, one week after the release of GTA 5 to PC. There is no mention though whether The Lav will be brought to the game's consoles versions. Gamers will just need to stay tuned for more updates on GTA 5 in the future.
Previous GTA games supported custom radio stations, which let users play their own music from their hard drives. It is not certain whether GTA 5 will continue this.
As players wait for the April 14 release, there is hope that GTA 5 on PC will be launched without significant issues. When the game was delayed the first time from January to March 24, there was indication that the reason was that the development team was working to polish the game and test for bugs. Following this, the game was delayed again, and the release date was finally pushed to April 14.
