'GTA 6' release date news 2016: no confirmed release date yet for 'GTA 6'
The entire gaming community knows that Rockstar Games will eventually release "Grand Theft Auto VI" (commonly referred to as "GTA 6"). After all, "Grand Theft Auto V" ("GTA 5") has earned more than a billion dollars. The game franchise is Rockstar Games' cash cow right now, so the rumors that have been circulating the past few months about the alleged cancellation of "GTA 6" are absolutely ridiculous. Why would the studio cancel something that is making them a boatload of money?
The real question is: when will the game come out? Is Rockstar working on it right now? Some sources say "GTA 6" may come out in 2020, while others believe it may hit the shelves in late 2018 or mid-2019. Obviously, the release dates are just wild guesses and these haven't been verified.
Amusingly, reports also say that the game will feature some improvements over the previous game. Well, that's a given. Of course, the studio is going to do whatever it takes to make the game better than "GTA 5." That's the logical thing to do.
It is rumored that "GTA VI" may be set in London, Tokyo, San Diego, or Las Vegas. Others think a futuristic setting may also be possible. Insiders also believe that there may be a virtual reality version of the game.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that Rockstar has yet to release any official trailer or gameplay footage for "GTA VI," so fans should not let those intentionally mistitled videos on YouTube fool them into thinking otherwise. If the official trailer comes out, expect it to make as much noise as the "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer did.
As of this moment, Rockstar has yet to announce that "GTA 6" is under development. Until the company makes a confirmation, all reports concerning the game are rumors at best, so readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt.
